Quarantine finally gave me the time to do something I've been meaning to do ever since, our Yearbook! It's been 5 years since we graduated and it's super due already. The reason I was stuck with this project was just me thinking what to put in the cover, I had a hundred sketches and ideas before arriving to this one.
I initially tried painting the "your" text and had fun with it, which made me continue brush painting the rest. I had difficulty achieving the balloon texture for the "Arrived" text, thus it looked weird. Days after finishing this work, I realized that balloon painting requires a more solid shadow painting. However I'm too lazy to re-do it, I'm already satisfied with what I have.
Since our yearbook name is Kaleidescope, I had to incorporate it in the cover, so I simply placed a text there because they haven't said anything on how I should incorporate it.
I'm excited to finish our yearbook, although i'm still 40% done with it.
Thanks! :)
